Head Bar-All rounder
Job Description
Jump Inn is expanding our team of hospitality professionals. We are seeking experienced Head bar all-rounder to join the team and build a dream with us.
You will be required to do the following duties:

Daily bar duties.

Assist in managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.

Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.

Research and learn about the craft beers we stock and relay this information to staff

Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours.

Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.

Ensuring licenses are updated and in line with current legislation.

Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.

Creat new cocktail menu. Mix drinks, pour and serve wine, beer, and other beverages as needed.

Planning and taking part in promotional events.

Address customer inquiries and complaints.

Diffusing tense situations between patrons or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.

Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
To be considered for this role you should:
-
Demonstrate at least 2 years of full-time Food and Beverage experience

Have previous supervisory experience in a busy evening bar or restaurant

Have a good wine and craft beer knowledge and outstanding customer service

Good understanding of cash handling and till operation

Have a high standard of personal presentation

Knowledge of procedural and legislative compliance including fire safety, hygiene and WH&S requirements.

Be Self-motivated and motivator

Must have a current RSA Certificate

Strong written and spoken English
Your shifts will be varied according to the business needs, which will include day-time, night-time and weekends. The role is to lead and co-ordinate all aspects of the venue management to exceed patron expectation and deliver on meeting our business objectives towards creating sustainable long-term business success.
